Bereavement Counselling

I hold a diploma in Grief and Bereavement and have two and a half years' experience working as a bereavement practitioner, helping people to explore and process their loss. Grief rarely arrives on its own, it often reawakens other losses, which can deepen and complicate the grief you're currently carrying, whether that's the loss of a parent, partner, child, friend, or pet.

Loss can look very different depending on the circumstances, relationships, and history: sudden or anticipated, recent or long-held, straightforward or complicated by a difficult relationship. Also, there's no fixed timeline or "standard" way to grieve. In our work together, we can explore the unique relationship you had with your loved one, the different ways grief shows up (emotionally, physically, and in day-to-day life), and how to gradually adjust to a life that includes this loss rather than one that tries to move past it.

My aim is to help you honour what that relationship meant to you, at whatever pace feels right for you.
